We're supporting a growing contractor-developer with a strong track record across housing and mixed-use projects as they enter a new phase of strategic growth. With new ownership, new leadership and a clear plan to scale into a nine-figure business, the land function is now a critical focus, and they're looking for a Land Buyer to help build the future pipeline.
The business is fully funded, with both cash reserves and an acquisition facility in place, giving you the confidence that opportunities can be acted on quickly and deals can genuinely progress.
This role offers genuine autonomy, where you'll support the sourcing, assessment and acquisition of residential and mixed-use development opportunities across opportunity-led locations. You'll work closely with highly experienced senior leaders who know how to get schemes over the line, giving you the exposure, guidance and progression pathway to grow quickly.

Key Responsibilities:- Identify and appraise development opportunities across opportunity-led regions
- Build strong relationships with agents, landowners and promoters
- Support negotiations and deal structuring
- Assist with technical, planning and commercial due diligence
- Prepare offers, appraisals and viability assessments
- Work closely with development, commercial and technical teams to shape bids
- Support the wider land strategy and help build a sustainable pipeline
- Represent the business professionally and credibly across the region
- Experience in land acquisition within housebuilding, development, partnerships or agency
- Strong understanding of planning, viability and development constraints
- Good geographic awareness and ability to operate across opportunity-led locations
- Confident communicator able to build relationships quickly
- Commercially aware, numerate and able to support appraisals
- Proactive, ambitious and ready to grow into a more senior land role
- Able to work with autonomy while being part of a high-performing team
- £40,000 - £55,000 basic salary
