Are you passionate about solving complex technical challenges and identifying the root causes of failures in advanced technology? We are seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to join our team, playing a vital role in investigating product issues, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring product reliability.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conduct detailed investigations into product returns and quality concerns, using problem-solving methodologies to establish root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Evaluate the electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems, components, and integrated circuits to determine causes of failure.
  • Organise and analyse failure reports, develop processes to enhance failure analysis, and reduce future failures.
  • Perform electrical assessments using standard bench equipment (power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers) and software tools such as Python or LabVIEW.
  • Conduct physical analysis using optical microscopes, SEM/EDX, and liaise with external laboratories for additional testing.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, assisting with PCB schematics, and analysing data to support KPI metrics and quality improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong technical skills in failure analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with bench equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers) and software tools (Python, LabVIEW).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and high ethical standards.
