The Role
We are seeking a Senior Building Surveyor / Project Manager to join our growing team. In this dual-role, you will manage a portfolio of education sector projects from initial feasibility through to completion, providing both strategic advice and hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead refurbishment and construction projects across primary, secondary, and higher education institutions.
- Carry out condition surveys, feasibility studies, and defect analysis.
- Manage projects through RIBA stages, ensuring compliance with DfE and local authority regulations.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide contract administration and project management support across multiple schemes.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives.
Requirements
- BSc in Building Surveying, Project Management or Architecture
- MRICS or MCIOB qualified (preferred).
- 5+ years experience in building surveying and/or project management, ideally within the education sector.
- Proven track record in managing capital works projects and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and funding streams (e.g., CIF, DfE guidance).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
