Quality and compliance sit at the heart of every successful food manufacturing operation. This role offers the opportunity to join a fast‑moving, quality‑driven environment where robust systems, attention to detail and continuous improvement underpin everything that leaves the site.
As Quality & Compliance Co‑ordinator, you will support the effective operation and ongoing development of food safety and quality systems across the business. Working closely with operations, technical and supply chain teams, you will help ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and external regulations, while actively contributing to a strong, site‑wide quality culture.
Key Accountabilities- Support the day‑to‑day management of the Quality Management System, ensuring documentation is accurate, controlled and up to date.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards, including BRCGS and HACCP.
- Co‑ordinate internal audits and support external audits, customer visits and regulatory inspections.
- Manage non‑conformances, corrective actions and root cause analysis, ensuring actions are implemented effectively and closed out on time.
- Support supplier approval, monitoring and raw material compliance processes.
- Assist with product specifications, artwork checks and label compliance.
- Monitor quality KPIs, trends and performance data, producing clear reports and insights.
- Support complaint handling and investigation processes, working cross‑functionally to drive corrective and preventative actions.
- Promote good manufacturing practice and food safety awareness across the site.
- Previous experience in a quality, technical or compliance role within food manufacturing.
- Good working knowledge of food safety systems, including HACCP and BRCGS standards.
- Experience working with quality management systems and technical documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with production, supply chain and technical teams.
- Proactive and solutions‑focused, with a genuine interest in quality and continuous improvement.
- A qualification in food science, food safety or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office and quality management system.
