Product leaders in their niche sector, this food business manufactures a range of own label and branded products. The business continues to grow and has recently benefitted from substantial capital investment. This dynamic business seeks a talented packaging technologist to lead and deliver packaging specific elements of new product innovation, cost saving initiatives, environmental and brand maintenance projects and to provide technical support on packaging related issues to the Quality, Commercial and Supply functions.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in packaging development, specifically with flexible packaging, solid board, and corrugated materials.
  • Strong knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations and their impact on packaging design and compliance.
  • Experience managing artwork approval processes and working with external agencies.
  • Knowledge of packaging sustainability trends, materials, and compliance standards.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Packaging Technology, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous, but time served experience is also great.
  • Knowledge or certification in packaging sustainability or EPR compliance is an advantage.
