Role Overview
Working across Greater London and within the M25, the Field Sales Executive will play a pivotal role in expanding brand presence within independent Asian grocery retailers. This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven position for someone who can walk into a store with confidence, open doors quickly using an established network, and build sustainable, repeat‑order accounts. The role blends new business acquisition with ongoing account management, supported by a competitive salary and commission structure linked directly to sales performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Leverage an existing network of independent Asian grocery and ethnic food retailers to establish immediate traction within the territory
- Prospect, open and onboard new retail accounts across Greater London and the M25
- Develop existing accounts through regular store visits, order follow‑ups and range expansion
- Clearly communicate product positioning, pricing and commercial terms to buyers and store owners
- Gather and provide market intelligence including competitor activity, pricing trends and retailer insights
- Work closely with operations to manage stock availability, deliveries and order fulfilment
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline progression and account performance
- Support in‑store activations, sampling initiatives and seasonal promotional campaigns
People Profile
- Minimum 3 plus years' field sales experience within UK food, FMCG or grocery industry
- A proven and active network of independent Asian grocery retailers across Greater London and/or the M25
- Demonstrable sales success with evidence of consistent target achievement and account growth
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build credibility and rapport at the store‑owner level
- Commercially astute with the ability to convert market insight into actionable sales opportunities
- Confident using sales and invoicing systems, with basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the territory
- Experience selling health, wellness or clean‑label products is advantageous
- Knowledge of Indian D2C brands and the premium ethnic food category is beneficial
- English essential; additional languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati or Urdu are an advantage
