Our client, a well-established and fast-growing organisation within the FMCG wholesale and food distribution sector, is seeking a driven and hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to lead warehouse operations and deliver best-in-class service across a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Head of Wholesale, the Warehouse Operations Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running and optimisation of warehouse and operational activities.
Leading multiple teams across goods-in, picking, packing, and dispatch, you will ensure customer orders are delivered on time, in full, and to specification, while maintaining strict cost control and operational excellence. This role operates on a night shift pattern (12:00am – 9:00am, 5 days per week) and requires a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
- Drive a strong performance culture focused on accountability, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all warehouse operations including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure stock accuracy and integrity across both physical inventory and warehouse management systems.
- Maintain high standards of product quality, handling, and customer service throughout the operation.
- Monitor and improve order accuracy and fulfilment processes to meet customer expectations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, using operational data and KPIs to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead resource and workforce planning to meet fluctuating demand effectively.
- Support and lead operational projects, driving change and delivering measurable improvements.
Proven experience in an Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager role within FMCG, food distribution, or wholesale environments. Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements and deliver against KPIs. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and logistics processes.
