Our client, an innovative and forward-thinking food manufacturer known for being leaders in providing some of the best bakery products in the market, is searching for a Bakery Team Leader to support the growing demands of the business.
Job Role
Reporting to the Production Manager and working closely with other company departments, you will be responsible for supporting the bakery function.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all health & safety requirements are met, including the use of PPE
- To be responsible for own safety and that of others
- Ensure all products produced follow: Food safety, Food Quality, Personal Hygiene of all staff, Hygiene of all production and external areas
- Oversee all production operations
- Understand and be able to cover all positions on the line
- Have a good understanding of product specifications and work instructions
- Prepare for customer audits
- Maintain all relevant records relating to the BRC standards
- Ensure all CCP’s relating to the HACCP are maintained and monitored
- Ensure that team members carry out all checks to correct standard, on time and are accurately recorded at the time of the check
- Monitor & Maintain Hygiene of the production area and all staff to ensure that the areas are kept at the highest standards
- Complete own and ensure team members complete all company paperwork with accuracy and on time
- Report any accidents that occur on site in conjunction with the Technical Manager
- Ensure all staff members follow the Clean as you go Policy
- Train all new & existing staff as and when required

- Basic verbal & written communication skills to describe problems, causes & solutions
- Basic planning skills to ensure routine activities can be completed
- Basic numeracy & literacy
- Supervisory experience needed & training will be given
- Flexibility on working hours
- Able to perform manual work

- Ability to give clear directions and set goals to all team members
