Our client, an innovative and forward-thinking food manufacturer known for providing some of the best bakery products in the market, is seeking an Assistant Production Manager due to organizational expansion.
Job Role
Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations to fulfill customer orders. Lead, develop, and train the production team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all health & safety requirements are met, including PPE use.
- Be responsible for your safety and that of others.
- Ensure all products follow food safety, food quality, personal hygiene, and hygiene standards of all staff and areas.
- Participate in and deliver shift briefings.
- Understand and communicate KPIs, losses, and issues clearly.
- Participate in quality reviews and relay issues to the team.
- Oversee all production operations.
- Complete production plans by scheduling personnel, monitoring progress, and resolving issues.
- Ensure equipment operates correctly, call for repairs, and evaluate new equipment and techniques.
- Compile and analyze production performance records and data.
- Develop and revise systems and procedures, implementing necessary changes.
- Handle recruitment, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure inductions and safety training for new starters.
- Manage labor resources for optimal staffing.
- Cover managerial tasks in the absence of the Manager.
- Develop departmental training plans.
Personal Profile
- Supervisory experience required; training will be provided.
- Strong people management, communication, and delegation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
