The Role
Our client is looking for a Technical Administrator to join their technical support team. This role will suit someone with strong data management skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining high technical and compliance standards. As Technical Administrator, you’ll play a key part in protecting the integrity of product data, supporting technical projects, and helping to ensure product specifications and supplier information are accurate and up to date. You’ll work closely with Technical Managers on a variety of activities, from supplier performance reviews to product development support and reporting on sustainability and nutritional data.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain accurate product and supplier data within internal systems.
  • Support the creation and review of product specifications and templates.
  • Monitor and report on nutritional, allergen, and sustainability data.
  • Assist with supplier performance reviews and customer complaint investigations.
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies across multiple systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Develop and improve reporting tools to streamline data collection and process efficiency.
  • Support technical projects, product launches, and process improvements.

Person Profile

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related subject preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a technical administration, data, or specification-based role within food manufacturing, foodservice, or retail.
  • Strong Excel skills (including V-lookups, pivot tables, IF statements, conditional formatting, and basic macros).
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, with a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
  • A team player who takes initiative and maintains a high standard of accuracy in their work.
