Our client is a global importer of rice, grains, and raw materials supplying UK manufacturers and wholesalers. Role Overview: We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to manage the external warehouse operations. This role involves stock management of empty packaging and consumables, daily logistics between the warehouse and production site, and adherence to strict health, safety, and food hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and control stock of empty packaging and production consumables
  • Place orders for consumables to ensure production needs are met
  • Deliver packaging to the production site and return used packaging to the external warehouse
  • Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries from suppliers
  • Maintain accurate stock records through daily and scheduled counts
  • Conduct health and safety inspections of warehouse racking and environment
  • Maintain warehouse hygiene to comply with food safety requirements
  • Support intake operatives with container discharges and logistics
  • Assist Warehouse & Production Manager and Mill Manager in operational tasks

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Counterbalance FLT Licence (preferred)
  • SEMA racking inspection training (advantageous)
  • Basic computer and IT literacy
  • Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 qualification (preferred)
