We’re seeking an experienced and driven National Account Manager to join a thriving and ambitious team within a well-established UK food manufacturer. With a reputation for quality, innovation, and strategic partnerships, this business is looking to expand its national footprint through top-tier account management and new business wins.
As a National Account Manager, you’ll lead commercial relationships with key retail, wholesale, and foodservice clients across the UK. You’ll be given the autonomy to shape and execute your own strategy, backed by a collaborative internal team and strong leadership support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own and develop relationships with high-value national accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities to grow market share.
- Build and execute strategic sales plans to exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Analyse and report on sales performance, trends, and forecasting.
- Represent the company at events, trade days, and presentations.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Brings 5+ years of sales/account management experience within the food industry.
- Has a proven track record of smashing sales targets and driving business growth.
- Understands the UK FMCG landscape—particularly foodservice, retail, or wholesale sectors.
- Is confident presenting, negotiating, and influencing at all levels.
- Is highly self-motivated with strong relationship-building and strategic thinking skills.
- Is tech-savvy, ideally with experience in sales platforms such as Salesforce.
- Holds a full driving licence and is open to national travel.
Location & Flexibility:
The successful candidate can be based in the North East or South East and must be within commutable distance of either office location. This is a hybrid role combining national travel, weekly office visits, and one admin day from home. Some flexibility will be required depending on business and training needs.
Package:
- Salary: £40,000–£50,000 (depending on experience)
- £5,000 car allowance
- Bonus structure (discussed at interview)
