About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, professional and reliable Dental Nurse to join our busy dental practice in Huddersfield. This part-time role is ideal for a qualified dental nurse who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. The successful candidate will provide chairside assistance to clinicians, support the smooth running of the practice and help ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are ready for use.
- Maintain high standards of cross-infection control and decontamination in line with current regulations.
- Support patients before, during and after treatment, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Accurately maintain patient records and clinical notes.
- Assist with stock control and ordering of clinical materials where required.
- Ensure compliance with GDC standards, health and safety regulations and practice policies.
- Work closely with dentists, hygienists and reception staff to support the efficient running of the practice.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with a recognised dental nursing qualification.
- Current GDC registration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, caring and patient-focused attitude.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Availability to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with Saturday attendance being mandatory.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in an NHS or mixed dental practice.
- Dental radiography qualification.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software.
- Up-to-date CPR and safeguarding training.
