The Penycae Inn is looking for an experienced and passionate Second Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, takes pride in producing high-quality dishes, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Second Chef
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards
  • Excellent organisational and teamwork skills as we run a very fast paced kitchen
  • Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures
  • A positive attitude and passion for great food

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
  • Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes
  • Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards
  • Supporting menu development and specials
  • Helping manage stock control and food ordering
