This role offers the opportunity to support decisions that help protect pension savers and uphold confidence in the UK’s pensions system. As a Paralegal within the Determinations Panel team, you will play a key part in managing cases from start to finish, helping ensure they are handled efficiently, fairly and to a high standard. You will work closely with lawyers, panel members and colleagues across the organisation to prepare documents, organise evidence, and support hearings. Your work will contribute directly to the quality of decisions made and how clearly they are communicated to those affected.

Essential Criteria:
- Relevant legal qualification (such as a law degree, CPE, LPC or ILEX)
- Knowledge of court or regulatory procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including summarising complex information
- Knowledge of Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information principles
- Strong IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional and document management systems
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Effective prioritisation and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail and ability to assimilate information
The Determinations Panel Support (DPS) team is a small, specialist team comprising a Lead Lawyer, two Lawyers, a Paralegal and a Lead Associate. DPS sits within the wider Enforcement and Legal Group (ELG), which includes approximately 45 lawyers.
