ROLE OVERVIEW

To further elevate and enhance our operations, we are seeking an accomplished Reception Supervisor to contribute and deliver on the club’s success, providing exceptional experiences for our members. We are seeking a polished, organised, and service-led Reception Supervisor to support the Head of Reception & Reservations in overseeing the arrival experience within an exclusive new private members’ club. With two supervisors across the building, this role plays a key part in ensuring consistent standards, smooth daily operations, and a seamless member journey across multiple F&B outlets. Acting as a hands-on leader, the Reception Supervisor will guide the reception team on shift, ensuring a warm, efficient, and discreet welcome while supporting reservations flow and interdepartmental coordination. This role combines operational oversight with exceptional hosting and team leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Head of Reception & Reservations in the day-to-day management of reception operations
  • Lead the reception team on shift, ensuring a polished, professional, and welcoming member experience
  • Oversee guest arrivals and departures, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and personalisation
  • Coordinate closely with reservations, restaurants, and bar teams to manage guest flow across the building
  • Manage walk-ins, waitlists, and real-time table availability in collaboration with floor teams
  • Ensure reception and arrival areas are impeccably presented, organised, and aligned with club standards
  • Handle member enquiries, requests, and feedback with professionalism and discretion
  • Support VIP arrivals and special requests, ensuring seamless execution
  • Assist with training, coaching, and development of reception team members
  • Monitor team performance during service, stepping in where needed to maintain standards
  • Ensure accurate use of reservation and CRM systems, maintaining up-to-date guest profiles
  • Assist with rota management and shift planning as required
  • Uphold all data protection, privacy, and security standards
  • Act as a point of escalation in the absence of the Head of Reception & Reservations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a reception, host, or front-of-house supervisory role within a luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team during service
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural hosting presence
  • High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  • Confident in managing guest flow and handling high-pressure situations calmly
  • Experience with reservations and CRM systems
  • Professional, polished appearance and demeanour
  • High level of discretion and understanding of private members’ club culture
