To enrich and elevate our cultural offering, we are seeking a passionate and creative Cultural Events Manager to lead the curation and delivery of an exceptional cultural programme. This is a central role within our events team, with responsibility for the strategic development, curation, and execution of the club's cultural events programme. Working closely with the Events Director, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering a calendar of distinctive, high-quality cultural experiences — from arts and performance to talks, tastings, and immersive events — that inspire and engage our members.

You will bring a genuine passion for culture and the arts, an extensive network of industry contacts, and the organisational rigour to bring ambitious ideas to life with impeccable attention to detail. Collaborating closely with the Events Executive and the wider events team, you will ensure that every cultural event reflects the club's standing as a premier destination for sophisticated, enriching experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • CULTURAL PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT
    • Lead the curation and design of the club's cultural events calendar, developing a distinctive and engaging programme that reflects the interests and aspirations of the membership.
    • Develop and implement creative event concepts that reflect cultural diversity and artistic expression, keeping a close eye on emerging cultural and artistic trends.
    • Leverage an extensive network of industry contacts — including artists, performers, cultural institutions, and sponsors — to bring exceptional talent and experiences to the club.
    • Ensure all cultural programming aligns with the club's vision, values, and overall events strategy as agreed with the Events Director.
  • EVENT EXECUTION AND MANAGEMENT
    • Oversee all aspects of cultural event logistics, including timelines, venue set up, transportation, and compliance with all relevant legal and safety regulations.
    • Manage budgets for cultural events, negotiating contracts with artists, suppliers, and cultural partners, and ensuring cost-effective execution while maintaining the highest standards of cultural and artistic integrity.
    • Handle day-of coordination, managing timelines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring every cultural event runs seamlessly from start to finish.
    • Conduct thorough post-event evaluations, gathering feedback from members and participants, assessing impact, and preparing detailed reports on successes and areas for improvement.
  • STAKEHOLDER AND PARTNER RELATIONS
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all cultural event stakeholders, including artists, performers, cultural institutions, and sponsors, fostering strong and mutually beneficial relationships.
    • Build and maintain a broad and active network across the cultural and arts sector to ensure the club has access to the most exciting and relevant talent and programming.
    • Work collaboratively with members to understand their cultural interests, incorporating these insights into programme development.
  • TEAM AND CROSS-DEPARTMENTAL COLLABORATION
    • Work closely with and support the Events Executive in the day-to-day coordination and administration of cultural events.
    • Collaborate with the private events team to ensure alignment of scheduling and a coherent overall events programme.
    • Work in close partnership with the food and beverage, operations, and marketing and PR teams to ensure all cultural events are delivered seamlessly and promoted effectively.
    • Support the Events Director on wider departmental priorities as required.
  • REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in cultural event management or a related field, with significant experience delivering high-profile cultural events.
    • Deep understanding of cultural and artistic trends, with demonstrable experience managing events that celebrate cultural diversity and artistic excellence.
    • An extensive and active network of industry contacts, including artists, performers, cultural institutions, and sponsors.
    • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
    • Experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts while delivering cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
    • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
