The Management team is responsible for the day-to-day running of the operations in the club, spanning across Food, Beverage, Events, Kitchen and Back-of-House operations.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Pembroke Club is seeking an exceptionally well-connected, commercially driven and culturally astute individual to lead our Life and Corporate Membership proposition. This is a pivotal, revenue-generating role at the heart of a brand-new private members' club situated in the prestigious heart of Belgravia — one of London's most distinguished addresses. The primary mandate of this role is the active acquisition of Life Members — individuals and families who commit to a lifelong relationship with the Club — and Corporate Members, encompassing organisations that take multiple memberships on behalf of their leadership, clients or wider teams.

You will cultivate deep relationships with high-net-worth Londoners, residents and property owners across Belgravia, Knightsbridge and the surrounding neighbourhoods, as well as London's foremost businesses, family offices, financial institutions and professional services firms. This is not a passive membership management role. You will be the face and driving force of membership acquisition, bringing genuine gravitas and an established network to the position. Your ability to open doors, inspire confidence and close membership commitments at the highest level will define the success of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Life Membership Acquisition: Proactively identify, approach and convert high-net-worth individuals and families residing in or with strong ties to Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Mayfair and the surrounding postcodes. Build a personal pipeline of Life Membership prospects through networking at relevant events, via private introductions and through engagement with the luxury residential and property market. Partner with Belgravia-based estate agents, luxury property developers and wealth managers to reach residents of significant properties in the immediate vicinity of the Club. Develop and present compelling, bespoke Life Membership propositions — including family-wide packages — that speak to the values of legacy, exclusivity and outstanding hospitality. Represent the Club at curated events and private gatherings frequented by target Life Member audiences, including charitable galas, arts patronage events and high-value social occasions. Maintain a disciplined, CRM-driven approach to prospect management, tracking all Life Membership conversations from initial introduction through to completion.
  • Corporate Membership Acquisition: Identify and approach target corporate partners including financial institutions, law firms, family offices, luxury brands, private equity firms and professional services organisations based in or active across London. Develop tailored Corporate Membership packages — from small multi-seat agreements to large-scale institutional arrangements — aligned to the specific needs and culture of each organisation. Present the Club's Corporate Membership offering at a senior level, engaging with C-suite and senior leadership to articulate the value of membership for business development, client entertainment and staff benefit purposes. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of corporate prospects, managing relationships from initial contact through contract execution and onboarding. Work closely with the Club's events and hospitality teams to showcase the venue as an ideal setting for private corporate entertaining, further driving Corporate Membership interest. Establish strategic referral relationships with adjacent luxury service providers — including concierge services, private banks and wealth advisers — who regularly interact with target corporate clients.
  • Member Engagement & Retention: Establish deep, personally managed relationships with Life and Corporate Members from the point of onboarding, ensuring they are welcomed, valued and seamlessly integrated into the Club's community. Implement bespoke engagement initiatives for Life Members and key corporate accounts, including private previews, curated events and tailored hospitality moments. Act as the primary point of contact for senior members and corporate account holders, addressing all needs with discretion and care. Monitor member engagement and satisfaction, proactively intervening where relationships require attention to protect retention. Attend Club events regularly, ensuring high-value members are personally greeted and their guests well looked after.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead, inspire and develop the membership team, setting clear acquisition and retention targets and fostering a high-performance, member-first culture. Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to ensure that all Life and Corporate Membership collateral, campaigns and communications reflect the Club's positioning and speak to the target audience. Work with Operations, Reservations and Events teams to ensure seamless member experiences and consistent delivery of the Club's standards. Report directly to the Managing Director with regular pipeline updates, acquisition metrics and membership revenue forecasts.
  • CRM, Analytics & Reporting: Take full ownership of the membership CRM (Peoplevine), ensuring all prospect, member and corporate account data is meticulously maintained from first contact through to lifecycle management. Establish clear KPIs for Life Membership and Corporate Membership acquisition, and report against these to the senior leadership team on a regular basis. Analyse conversion rates, pipeline health and retention data to continuously refine acquisition strategy and resource allocation. Manage the membership department budget, including reporting monthly to the board on financial performance against targets.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for membership, monitoring membership dues, staffing and financial performance of the department. Working within budgets set, reporting to the board monthly. Identify opportunities for revenue growth through membership initiatives, events and partnerships.

  • The gravitas, social intelligence and personal warmth to build genuine long‑term relationships at the highest levels of society and commerce.
