The Reception department is the voice and face of The Pembroke ensuring each person entering the building receives a warm welcome.

ROLE OVERVIEW

To further elevate and enhance our operations, we are seeking an accomplished Cloak Room Attendant to contribute and deliver on the club’s success, providing exceptional experiences for our members. As one of the first and last points of contact for members and guests, you will play an important role in delivering a seamless and welcoming experience throughout their visit. This position requires an individual with excellent presentation, strong organisational skills, and a warm, attentive approach to service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing guests’ belongings with the utmost care and discretion while maintaining an efficient and well-organised cloakroom operation in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment. You will work closely with the reception, membership, and operations teams to ensure exceptional service standards are upheld at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome members and guests warmly upon arrival and assist with coats, bags, umbrellas, and personal belongings
  • Safely store and accurately manage all items checked into the cloakroom
  • Issue and manage cloakroom tickets efficiently and professionally
  • Ensure the cloakroom area is kept clean, organised, and presentable at all times
  • Assist guests promptly with the collection and return of belongings
  • Handle guest enquiries and requests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Report any lost property, security concerns, or guest incidents to management promptly
  • Work collaboratively with reception and operational teams to ensure a smooth guest experience
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding members and guests at all times
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and company procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous luxury customer-service experience, ideally in hospitality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional presentation and demeanour
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and service-oriented approach
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends where required
  • Understanding of luxury service standards
  • Experience handling high guest volumes in a fast-paced environment preferred
