The Pastry Room are looking for a number of positive and hard-working individuals to join our growing team who want to develop with us. Food experience in a professional kitchen or manufacturing environment will be a distinct advantage. The role includes such activities as collating raw ingredients, weighing out recipes, blending, dough mixing, packing and palletising finished products. You should be able to work well as part of a team and have the self-drive demonstrating initiative and willingness to learn on the job. Training will be given in all aspects of our manufacturing processes and standards of safe working practices.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Work to production plans meeting clear output and quality standards
  • To have a desire to develop yourself and learn
  • Work safely and efficiently
  • Follow health and safety procedures
  • Work well as part of a team and as an individual
  • Have good communication skills

The role involves lifting of ingredient sacks and boxes up to 25kg so you should be physically capable and willing. Based in Elsham, North Lincolnshire and within travelling distance of Brigg, Scunthorpe, Barton-upon-Humber & Grimsby. You will require your own transport.

About Us: The Pastry Room is a dedicated Gluten Free factory site which focuses on providing Gluten Free food products to catering and hospitality businesses around the country and Europe. Our products match wheat products and surpass current gluten free market quality standards. After starting out 14 years ago, The Pastry Room has achieved a sustained period of growth and the next 12 months offers the next steps for considerable expansion. We are currently undergoing investment with a growth plan for existing lines and bringing new innovative products to the market.

Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday (09.00am - 17.30pm)
  • 20 Days Holiday plus bank holidays (Inc. Christmas and New Year)

  • Pay at £14.50 per hour on completion of probationary period with a pay review on completion of successful probation period (3 months)
