About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will be responsible for supervising a team of warehouse operatives, managing workloads, and maintaining a high standard of operational performance in line with company targets and KPIs.
About You
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team, including goods in, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control.
Allocate workloads and monitor staff performance to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements COSHH, manual handling).
Provide training, support, and coaching to new and existing staff.
Monitor and manage stock levels and inventory accuracy.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
Liaise with transport teams, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Support the Warehouse Manager with any additional duties as required.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Good understanding of warehouse procedures, including inventory control and stock management.
Familiarity with health and safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Competent in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
