About The Role
At GSF Car Parts, providing excellent service and supporting our customers is our top priority. As a Lead Business Development Manager, you will actively engage with customers within an agreed geography to grow market share and increase loyalty.
You will expand the customer base by targeting new business opportunities across existing and new sales channels. The role covers customers for our North East branches, so you must be based nearby to travel within the area.
Main duties include:
- Proactively grow the branch customer base through targeted new business generation and opening new accounts: Target new IMT accounts and non-IMT accounts such as Dealerships, Manufacturers, Re-sellers.
- Target high potential existing IMT and National Accounts for growth.
- Collaborate with branch teams to identify target IMT accounts using CRM data and local knowledge.
- Work with National Accounts to identify and target opportunity accounts.
- Partner with supplier field sales to grow market share through joint initiatives.
- Grow market share in own brand products using MI to identify opportunities.
- Enhance digital sales channels.
- Implement Parts finder APP across channels and GMS integration using AOLV4.
- Work with GE team to drive tooling and equipment sales.
- Utilize the lead generation system.
Working hours:
Average hours per week, Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in field sales or similar roles within FMCG or multi-site organizations.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Strong automotive product and competitor knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience with customer databases and analysis is advantageous.
- Dynamic, persuasive personality.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience with electronic catalogues is a plus.
- Enthusiastic and committed approach.
- Self-motivated with good time management.
- Proven B2B sales record.
- IT literacy, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Full UK driving license with up to 6 points.
