T&P, part of WPP, is one of the world’s leading integrated creative and media agencies, connecting talent and tech to drive growth for brands. Formed by the integration of The&Partnership and mSix&Partners, we bring together content creation and distribution into single end-to-end marketing solutions for brands such as Toyota, News UK and Five Guys.
While other agencies and holding companies talk about integration, we have actually done it. We have seen AI blur the lines between media, creative social, customer and PR and therefore our teams are made up of roles and specialisms from across all relevant disciplines to best meet the demands of modern marketing challenges. Our belief in the “Power of &” has helped us grow to a 1,500-strong global network and we are certain of it being the driving force behind our next phase of growth in the AI era.
About WPP: WPP is the trusted growth partner for the world’s leading brands. We unite cutting‑edge media intelligence and data solutions, world‑class creativity, next‑generation production, transformative enterprise solutions and expert strategic counsel in a single company – powered by exceptional talent and our agentic marketing platform, WPP Open, to help our clients navigate change, capture opportunity and deliver transformational growth.
The Role: The Technical Producer is a key delivery role within T&P’s Innovation team, responsible for the day‑to‑day delivery and operational management of our Agentic Content Engine (ACE) programme – a suite of AI‑powered content automation pipelines built for major brand clients. Working closely with the Tech Lead and cross‑functional team of creative technologists, strategists, and producers, you will own delivery across individual content engine workstreams: keeping projects on track, translating briefs into actionable plans, and acting as the connective tissue between technical and creative teams.
We’re looking for a self‑starter who thrives in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments, takes ownership of delivery, and proactively identifies risks and solutions early. You’ll help shape and deliver a new generation of AI‑powered content systems for global brands – working at the intersection of production, automation, and emerging technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of individual ACE workstreams, from initial brief through to live production, managing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Translate briefs and strategic requirements into clear, structured delivery plans in collaboration with the Tech Lead and Innovation Lead.
- Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day project communication, providing clear and regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones.
- Maintain visibility across the ACE portfolio, proactively identifying blockers, managing dependencies, and driving resolution early.
- Work closely with engineers and developers to understand technical requirements, unblock delivery, and ensure build work is scoped and prioritised effectively.
- Coordinate QA and review processes across AI‑generated outputs, automation workflows, and delivery pipelines.
- Stay current with developments in AI tooling, generative content platforms, and automation capabilities, and flag relevant opportunities to the team.
- Contribute to pitch and proposal work where required, helping to scope, plan, and cost new ACE engagements.
Key Skills:
- Project & Delivery Management: Demonstrable experience delivering software or technology projects end‑to‑end, ideally in an agency or fast‑paced production environment. Comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously with competing priorities.
- Technical Fluency: This role sits close to the work itself – collaborating directly with developers, testing workflows, troubleshooting delivery issues, and helping shape how systems are implemented in practice.
- AI Literacy: A solid working knowledge of the generative AI and LLM landscape. You understand how AI tools are used in production systems, and you’re confident in conversations about prompt workflows, content pipelines, and automation tooling.
- Agency / Marketing Experience: Familiarity with agency ways of working – managing client relationships, interpreting creative briefs, and navigating the intersection of technology and brand is highly valued.
- Self‑Starter Mindset: You identify what needs to happen and make it happen. You don’t wait for a detailed task list; you structure ambiguity, build your own plans, and take ownership of outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to give clear, confident, and concise updates, even when the picture is complex or incomplete.
- Problem Solving: Pragmatic and calm under pressure, with the ability to navigate shifting priorities and delivery challenges effectively.
- Tools & Process: Comfortable using project management tools and familiar with modern software delivery practices such as agile or iterative working.
