Part-time Financial Controller wanted in St Albans.

About the role:

We are looking for a detailed-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to join us at The Part-Time Finance People to support our clients in St Albans and surrounding areas. We provide tailored financial support for SMEs with our clients specifically requiring an experienced and commercially-minded Financial Controller who can lead the finance function and provide clearer visibility around the financials on a part-time basis.

About You:

  • You should be a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs.
  • Preferably, you are already self-employed and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week.
  • Your expertise should include:
  • Preparation of management accounts/reports
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cashflow and profit forecasting
  • Experience and working knowledge of Xero (ideally exposure with Sage50, QuickBooks as well)
  • Experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls
  • Year-end processes (but not statutory accounts)
  • Experienced Excel user including pivots, sumifs and graphs
  • Proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders

You must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience managing a finance team.

Rate of pay: £35 per hour

Location: 2/3 days per week
