We are expanding, and we are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our growing team in a senior, client-facing position. This role would suit someone who enjoys combining hands-on bookkeeping and finance management with client support, team coordination, and operational responsibility. We offer genuine flexibility, making this an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a long-term role that can work around family life or other commitments.
You will work closely with a portfolio of clients, supporting their day-to-day finance function remotely while also helping manage and oversee an outsourced bookkeeping team. Alongside client delivery, you will play an important role in onboarding new clients and helping ensure processes run efficiently across the wider finance operation. The role is primarily home-based, with attendance at our Farnham office approximately once per week.

Main Areas of Responsibility
- Managing bookkeeping activities for multiple clients
- Preparing VAT returns and maintaining accurate financial records
- Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Managing bank reconciliations, cash flow, payables and receivables
- Supporting clients remotely with day-to-day finance queries and requirements
- Onboarding new clients and implementing smooth handover processes
- Building strong ongoing client relationships
- Supervising and supporting an outsourced bookkeeping team
- Reviewing workloads and ensuring deadlines and service standards are maintained
- Assisting with process improvements and wider finance operations
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, highly organised, and comfortable managing both client relationships and finance operations within a fast-paced remote environment. Ideal experience includes:
- Previous experience in a senior bookkeeping or finance management role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Experience with Sage50 and QuickBooks advantageous
- Payroll experience desirable
- Experience managing or reviewing the work of finance/bookkeeping staff
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads
- Ability to travel to Farnham approximately 1 day per week
