We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager as an Engagement Lead. Rather than managing your own client portfolio, you'll work closely with our Finance Professionals to support client engagements, maintain exceptional service standards and ensure our Finance Professionals are delivering the highest quality support to clients.
This is a people-focused leadership role where you'll:
- Train, mentor and develop our Finance Professionals, Senior Bookkeepers and Financial Controllers.
- Provide regular feedback, help resolve client challenges, conduct engagement reviews and ensure team members are supported and held accountable to deliver excellent outcomes.
- Play an important role in recruiting and onboarding new finance professionals as YRH continues to grow.
- Support Principals with client engagements and help resolve client issues where required.
- Deliver regular feedback and performance coaching to support professional development.
- Hold team members accountable for quality, service standards and delivery.
- Conduct interviews for prospective Finance Professionals, Senior Bookkeepers and Financial Controllers.
- Promote consistency, best practice and continuous improvement across the finance team.
- Support internal operational projects and business growth initiatives.
You’ll be an experienced Financial Controller who enjoys developing people, building strong relationships and maintaining high standards of client service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Financial Controller.
- Experience managing, mentoring and developing finance teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience interviewing and recruiting finance professionals.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (experience with Sage 50 and QuickBooks is advantageous).
- A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
- The ability to travel to our Farnham office on occasion.
- A flexible three-day working week.
