We are looking for an experienced Part‑Time Senior Bookkeeper to partner with a diverse portfolio of clients across Surrey and the surrounding areas. Working hands-on within client businesses across a range of industries, including professional services, retail, and technology, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities, including reconciliations, VAT returns, and credit control.
About You
You are an experienced Senior Bookkeeper with a strong track record supporting growing SMEs. Formal qualifications are not required — hands-on experience, accuracy, and commercial awareness are what matter most. You should be available for at least two days per week and will be confident working independently within client environments and managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
- Credit control and debtor reporting to directors
- Supplier invoice processing and purchase ledger management
- Preparing payment runs for approval
- Bank postings and reconciliations
- Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
- VAT return preparation and submission
- Payroll (potentially) and pension administration
- Month-end journals, including depreciation, accruals and prepayments
This part-time position can sit comfortably alongside other clients in your portfolio.
Location: Surrey (Guildford/Woking/Camberley/Farnborough)
Rate: £22.50 per hour
