Part‑time Financial Controller required in Manchester. We are looking for a detail‑oriented and experienced Financial Controller to join us at The Part‑Time Finance People to support our clients in Manchester and surrounding areas. We provide tailored financial support for SMEs, with a specific need for an experienced and commercially‑minded Financial Controller who can lead the finance function and provide clearer visibility around the financials on a part‑time basis.
About You
You should be an experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Preferably, you are already self‑employed and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week. Your expertise should include:
- Preparation of management accounts/reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cashflow and profit forecasting
- Experience and working knowledge of Xero (ideally exposure with Sage50, QuickBooks as well)
- Experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls
- Be commercially experienced
- Year‑end processes (but not statutory accounts)
- Experienced Excel user including pivots, SUMIFS and graphs
- Proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non‑financial leaders
You must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience managing a finance team.
Rate of pay £35 per hour
Location Manchester and surrounding areas (Wigan, Warrington, Liverpool)
Hours 2‑3 days available
