We are building capacity for future growth and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Liverpool. This role is perfect for a hands-on, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. You will play a key role in shaping the finance function by strengthening financial processes and controls, producing clear and insightful management information, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust budgeting and forecasting. This is a chance to make a real impact as we expand our presence in the Liverpool region, working closely with business owners and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding financial performance and insight.

Responsibilities and Experience

  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Improve and maintain financial processes and internal controls
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting
  • Lead and develop a small finance team
  • Present financial information confidently to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong Excel skills (including PivotTables, SUMIFS, and charting)
  • Experience with Xero (Sage 50 and QuickBooks experience is a plus)
  • Fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACMA / FCCA / ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years' experience)
