We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Senior Bookkeeper / Finance Manager to join our growing team. This is a flexible role ideal for an experienced finance professional seeking a strong work-life balance while remaining in a hands-on finance position. The role is primarily remote, with attendance required at our Farnham office approximately one day per week. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either 4 or 5 working days per week, including school-hours arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities
  • Completing bank reconciliations and supporting cash flow management
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance
  • Using cloud-based accounting systems efficiently
  • Supporting wider finance operations where required
  • Processing payroll and related duties

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior bookkeeping or finance management role
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero (Sage50 and QuickBooks experience desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities remotely
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to travel to the Farnham office one day per week
