We are currently recruiting for an experienced and well-rounded Financial Controller to support a growing business based in Aberdeen. This is a part-time contract role requiring approximately 2 days per week onsite, offering flexibility alongside meaningful strategic input.

The Role:

  • As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in providing financial visibility and insight to the business owners.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing core financial operations while helping guide the company through a systems transition to a more scalable accounting platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and timely management reporting
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Oversee cash flow management and provide actionable insights
  • Partner with business owners to improve financial visibility and decision-making
  • Manage and optimise current use of QuickBooks, while supporting the transition to a new accounting system
  • Ensure strong financial controls and processes are in place

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks (ideally with Sage50 & Xero)
  • Experience supporting or leading a finance system migration is highly desirable
  • Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insight
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
