Freelance Senior Bookkeeper (Part-Time) - South London (Onsite)
£22.50 per hour | 3 Days Per Week

At The Part-Time Finance People we are passionate about supporting SMEs and helping them thrive. We are looking to add to our team of finance specialists as we are looking to bring onboard a Freelance Senior Bookkeeper to support our clients across South London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys variety, values flexibility, and is motivated by making a real difference in the businesses they support.

About you

You should be an experienced Finance manager with a passion for supporting SMEs. Ideally, you are already self-employed, with at least 3 days of availability per week.

About the role

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you\\\'ll provide tailored, hands-on financial support to a portfolio of ambitious SMEs. You\\\'ll help identify and resolve financial challenges, streamline processes, and deliver insightful reporting that drives smarter decisions around cash flow and profitability.

Your expertise should include

  • Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
  • Credit control and debtor reporting to directors
  • Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management
  • Drafting payment runs for approval
  • Supplier reconciliations
  • Bank postings and reconciliations
  • Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll (possibly) and pension administration
  • Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
  • Experience with Xero (ideally with QuickBooks and Sage50 as well)

The Details

  • Rate: £22.50 per hour
  • Hours: 3 days per week (freelance/contractor basis)
  • Location: Onsite with clients across South London
