The Parker Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspiring Teacher of Maths to join our dedicated team. We are looking for a passionate educator who can deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that build students’ confidence, develop their problem‑solving skills and foster a genuine love of mathematics. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference to young people’s lives, raise aspirations and achievement, and contribute to the continued success of The Parker Academy within a supportive, ambitious and collaborative school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support students of varying abilities in developing strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support and intervention where needed.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, good behaviour, and a passion for learning mathematics.
• Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations, ensuring they are confident in applying mathematical concepts and techniques.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.

Pay range

• MPS/UPS: £34,069- £52,835
• Full Time (32.5 hours)
• Permanent

Qualifications and Skills

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
• Degree in Subject Specialism
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive, purposeful and inclusive learning environment.
