The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Working hours – 35h per week. (Seven hours a day, 5 days per week. Monday – Saturday)

As our Cafe Manager, you will oversee all the operations of St Peter’s Café. You will work closely with the Rector and directors of St Peter’s Catering Company Ltd to ensure that the café maximises profitability, while providing a warm and friendly environment for customers, staff & volunteers.

You will manage kitchen staff, front-of-house and volunteers effectively, to ensure that the cafe runs smoothly and efficiently, including recruiting, training and scheduling. You will also track inventory, order supplies and ensure the cafe is clean and well-maintained, ensuring that the café is compliant with all statutory requirements. This is a hands-on role, and you will be expected to lead by example.

The right candidate is excited about creating and implementing appropriate menus & marketing strategies to promote the cafe and increase customer traffic. They have excellent communication and organisational skills and experience in the food service industry. They work well under pressure and can multitask effectively. It is important that the successful candidate can be flexible surrounding sick & holiday cover.

You must have the ability to work well with others, delight our customers and retain and build customer loyalty. If you are passionate about food and customer service and have the skills and experience required for this role, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

  • At least two years of experience in hospitality with barista skills
  • A love of providing coffee, tea and high-quality food
  • Ability to commit to the required shifts
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Creativity and graphic design skills are a plus
  • Candidates with managerial experience preferred

St Peter’s Café is a popular venue covering most of the ground floor of St Peter’s Centre next to the Church. The Café is open 9am – 3.30pm Monday to Saturday serving delicious hot & cold food, drinks, and cakes.
