We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Salaried General Practitioner (GP) to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking to work in a collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on high-quality patient care, work-life balance, and professional development. The role offers 6 sessions per week, with flexibility where possible. You will be joining a well-established multidisciplinary team committed to delivering outstanding primary care services to our local community.

Main duties of the job

  • Providing high-quality, patient-centred consultations (face-to-face, telephone, and online)
  • Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions
  • Prescribing in line with best practice and local guidelines
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records
  • Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team (nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals)
  • Participating in practice meetings and clinical governance activities
  • Supporting QOF, enhanced services, and local initiatives
  • Contributing to teaching, training, or supervision (if applicable)

The Palms Medical Centre is a 7500 patient practice located in Newbury Park. We are part of Seven Kings PCN and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare. Our team includes:

  • 3 GPs
  • 4 Practice Nurses / ANPs/HCA
  • Administrative and support staff

Job responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients

Person Specification

  • Inclusion on a Performers List
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working in UK general practice
  • Interest in a clinical specialism (e.g. dermatology, diabetes, women's health)
  • Teaching or training experience

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified GP with CCT (or equivalent)
  • Registered with the GMC and on the GP Register
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check
