The Pallet Network (Part of the Culina Group) facilitates pallet deliveries across the UK, Ireland and Europe through its cross dock facilities at Minworth, Coventry and Preston. We are looking for a Business Improvement Analyst to design, develop and implement Warehouse Management and Transport Management Systems, and enhance existing systems to support operational efficiencies and improvements, though effective business analysis and system design. To become the most reliable business in Networking market, information technology and reporting is key to ensure we analyse the data and trend for current market, but also, we can identify the gaps and area for growth to implement continuous improvement to our processes.

Business analyst role will support the requirements for growth by capturing reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders, map processes and its successes, supporting departments in implementation.

Key responsibilities of a Business Improvement Analyst:

  • Liaise with department leads to understand areas of reporting to be developed.
  • Support the departments with produce/develop KPIs based on the reporting.
  • Support developing KPI catalogue for the internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the projects activities for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and support the needs for the departments, by recommendations and opportunities.
  • Processes mapping for internal practices for the Business departments to ensure they are easy to understand/read.
  • Assists in identifying and assessing risks to the success of the project.
  • Prepares and controls project and quality plans and tracking activities against the plans.
  • Proactive time management required and adherence to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and relationship builder.
  • Ability to build good relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Pro-active support to minimize downtime to live applications by identifying and resolving underlying issues and liaising with external vendors as required.
  • Gain a full and complete understanding of the business so that practical and effective support is supplied to the user and all business areas are fully supported within the service level agreements.
  • Liaise with IT Helpdesk, Infrastructure and Development Teams to ensure the system can be implemented in the live environment with the necessary backup & disaster recovery procedures in place.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of four or more full project life cycle implementations and be able to demonstrate that you played a key role in these implementations.
  • Experience of deploying solutions to complex business model.
  • Degree in BI/Business Data/Reporting.
  • Understanding of databases – e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access.
  • Query/Reporting Tools such as Crystal Reports.
  • Good management, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with users, and to both train and write documentation in non-technical language.
  • Must be capable of participating in concurrent multiple projects.
  • Must have the willingness to learn and develop their skills.
