As the hotel prepares for its future transition to Garner, we're bringing a fresh, purposefully different hospitality experience to Southend-on-Sea.

Featuring 137 guestrooms, Garner is designed for guests who are in love with life, not luxury - delivering quality stays at an affordable price in a welcoming environment full of character.

The hotel's future evolution will introduce the welcoming, flexible approach that defines the Garner experience, creating comfortable stays that make every journey possible.

We are looking for someone who can work 24-hours per week, open to flexible shift patterns depending on the successful candidates' needs and business requirements.

As a Human Resources Advisor, your day-to-day will be driven by our guests' needs; however, you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing): Supporting managers with a wide range of people-related matters across the hotel, including absence management, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement initiatives.

Providing practical HR advice and guidance, managing employee relations cases and supporting learning and development activities.

Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business while effectively managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Supporting a broad range of generalist HR activities and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about people, hospitality and creating welcoming experiences for our guests.

In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has: Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong knowledge of employee relations, absence management and employment law.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and support managers at all levels.

Experience within hospitality, retail or another fast-paced customer-focused environment would be advantageous.

A qualification in Human Resources or a related field would be beneficial, along with strong IT and HR systems experience.
