To lead and structure the padel programme within the club, ensuring high coaching standards, operational consistency and strong member engagement across the padel programme., As the Head Coach, you will be responsible for working 40 hours per week, scheduled between Monday and Friday, 09:00-17:00. Within these hours, your role and responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering padel coaching;
  • Managing and participating in social padel activities where required;
  • Facilitating open games;
  • Running tournaments;
  • Running corporate events;
  • Supporting the development and delivery of the Coaching Academy Programme;
  • Maintaining high coaching standards across the club; and
  • Coordinating and supporting the wider padel programme.

Your working hours and activities may be recorded through the RotaCloud and Playtomic systems. All duties carried out within your scheduled 40 hours, Monday to Friday, will form part of your Β£30,000 base salary. Any additional work or services outside of your contracted 40 hours or outside of the agreed Monday to Friday working schedule will only be undertaken where separately agreed with the company and, where applicable, may be provided under a separate self-employed arrangement and invoiced in accordance with the agreed coaching rates.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Head Coach Role

Coaching Standards & Development

  • Set and maintain the coaching standards for the club, ensuring all coaches deliver sessions consistently and in accordance with the club's agreed methodology.
  • Ensure coaches receive regular training and development to remain current with company standards and delivery expectations.
  • Oversee internal CPD (Continuing Professional Development) for coaches, tracking progress and identifying development needs.
  • Provide guidance, support and feedback to coaches to maintain consistently high standards of coaching delivery.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new coaches where required.

Coaching Academy Programme

  • Design, build and continuously develop a structured Coaching Academy Programme to support player pathway progression, including beginner to advanced and junior to adult pathways.
  • Ensure the programme has clear levels, learning outcomes and progression criteria.
  • Regularly review and refresh academy content to ensure it remains relevant, engaging and effective.
  • Monitor player participation and progression and identify opportunities to improve the programme.

Club Engagement & Activation

  • Act as the club's Padel Activator, driving energy, participation and visibility of padel within the wider club community.
  • Ensure sufficient coverage and structure for social padel sessions, including scheduling and coach allocation.
  • Build and maintain a calendar of social and community events that keep members engaged and attract new players.
  • Support the delivery of tournaments, competitions and corporate events.
  • Encourage participation across different playing abilities and experience levels.

Structure & Operations

  • Ensure all padel activities, coaching, socials, academy sessions and competitions are properly structured, scheduled and resourced.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent delivery across all padel activities.
  • Coordinate court availability, coach rotas and programme timetables to avoid clashes and maximise court utilisation.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider club team to identify opportunities to improve the padel programme.
  • Support the effective use of RotaCloud, Playtomic and other relevant club systems.

General Responsibilities The post holder will be expected to:

  • Maintain professional standards and represent The Padel Hub positively at all times.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and reasonable management instructions.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality in relation to company, employee and member information.
  • Undertake training and development reasonably required for the role.
  • Ensure activities are delivered in accordance with relevant health and safety and safeguarding requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to achieve the club's objectives.
