Are you a skilled Trading Standards Officer looking for your next interim opportunity? We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Trading Standards Officer to join a local authority on an Interim basis. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities in line with Trading Standards legislation. * Provide advice to businesses on compliance with consumer protection laws, including product safety, labelling, pricing, and unfair trading. * Investigate complaints and gather evidence in relation to potential breaches of trading standards regulations. * Prepare and present reports, case files, and enforcement actions where necessary. * Collaborate with other local authorities and enforcement agencies to address regional and national issues. About You: * You will have experience working as a Trading Standards Officer (or similar role) within local government or regulatory environments and hold a relevant qualification. * A good understanding of UK consumer protection laws, regulations, and enforcement procedures is essential. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including businesses, consumers, and other regulatory bodies. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
