A local authority is seeking an experienced Senior Officer - Parking Projects to support the delivery of parking and civil enforcement initiatives across the county.
This is a great opportunity for a highways parking professional to lead the development and implementation of parking restrictions, Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) and enforcement schemes.
You will play a key part in ensuring that on-street parking assets are effectively managed for the benefit of residents, businesses and the wider travelling public.
- Day to day responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of parking and civil enforcement projects.
- Develop new parking restrictions, Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) and local traffic management measures.
- Support the implementation of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) enforcement sites.
- Design and review traffic signs and road markings to ensure robust and legally compliant enforcement.
- Prepare and manage Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs).
- Investigate and resolve parking-related enquiries, complaints and requests.
- Engage with councillors, parish councils, community groups and key stakeholders.
- Prepare technical specifications, contract documentation and project reports.
- Monitor budgets, risks, procurement activities and contractor performance.
Desired skills
- Experience with Parking Management Systems, including Park Map.
- Experience working with ANPR enforcement schemes.
- CSCS qualification.
- LANTRA Traffic Management qualification.
- Local Authority experience within parking, highways or transportation services.
