We are looking for a Locum Litigation Lawyer focusing on Debt Recovery with some exposure to Adult Social Care matters. The role is for a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester, and they’re looking for someone who can manage high-value debt cases and support the team.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation and debt recovery, including high-value Adult Social Care debt.
- Issue claims, draft pleadings, prepare court documents and progress matters through enforcement.
- Provide clear legal advice to Adult Social Care and Finance teams on client charging, financial assessments and recovery options.
- Negotiate settlements, handle early-stage recovery actions and support preventative approaches to debt reduction.
- Work independently, meeting deadlines and managing sensitive or complex matters with minimal supervision.
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Ideally hybrid, potentially remote
