We are seeking a committed and forwardâthinking Development and Regeneration Officer to join our busy and dynamic team. This role plays an important part in shaping growth, supporting regeneration priorities, and helping deliver wellâdesigned, sustainable development across the local area. You will work closely with colleagues, partners, and external stakeholders to support a wide range of projects that contribute to economic growth, placeâmaking and community improvement.

Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of development and regeneration projects, from early feasibility stages through to implementation.
- Assist with preparing and coordinating project plans, reports, business cases and funding bids.
- Contribute to strategic placeâmaking initiatives, regeneration frameworks and longâterm development strategies.
- Work collaboratively with planning, housing, transport and economic development teams to ensure aligned project delivery.
- Engage with developers, consultants, partners and community groups to support project progression and resolve issues.
- Monitor project milestones, risks and budgets, ensuring progress is clearly reported to senior officers.
- Support regeneration activities such as town centre improvements, employment sites, public realm upgrades, and communityâled projects.
- Experience in development, regeneration, planning, or a related builtâenvironment discipline.
- Strong understanding of regeneration principles, development processes and local government functions.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare concise and wellâstructured reports.
- Confident working with a range of stakeholders and managing multiple tasks or workstreams.
- Strong analytical and problemâsolving abilities, with a proactive and solutionâfocused approach.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
