Responsibilities
- Support compliant procurement activities across a range of categories, ensuring best value and adherence to regulations.
- Support major strategic projects, providing commercial insight and procurement guidance from concept to delivery.
- Support the Development of tender documentation, evaluate submissions, and contribute to award recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand needs and enable effective sourcing.
- Support the management of contracts proactively, monitoring performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to procurement transformation, helping modernise processes, templates, and ways of working.
Applicant Essentials
- To be successful in this role you must be an experienced and qualified procurement professional who has CIPS and TPP qualifications.
- Previous experience of working within the public sector, ideally in local government.
- A knowledge of the construction industry would be highly advantageous.
- This role requires a 'hands on' operational approach to the role rather than a strategic lead.
- Candidates must be able to travel to the site on a regular basis and be available to start on short notice.
