The Role
We are seeking an experienced Complex Repairs Surveyor to support a busy housing repairs service on an interim basis. This role focuses on carrying out technical surveys and providing professional oversight across complex repairs, including damp and mould, HHSRS hazards and structural issues. You will produce clear, defensible reports that support remedial action and, where required, legal and disrepair cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake on site inspections and surveys, including damp and mould, rising damp, structural defects and HHSRS-related issues
- Produce clear, accurate technical reports with recommendations for remedial works
- Specify and scope works, working closely with contractors to ensure appropriate solutions are delivered
- Support disrepair investigations and provide technical evidence for legal or chartered surveyor reports
- Work collaboratively with the Repairs Manager and Repairs Officers to prioritise inspections and manage backlog
- Maintain accurate records and update internal systems (e.g. One Housing or equivalent)
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in housing repairs surveying
- Strong technical knowledge of damp and mould, HHSRS and complex repair issues
- Excellent communication skills
