Visiting Officer - Housing in Godalming

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for two Visiting Officers to join a Surrey local authority team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for professionals with strong housing knowledge and experience engaging with tenants and vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property inspections and gather accurate data.
• Review and understand Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) for residents with specific needs.
• Identify and assess housing-related risks.
• Engage with tenants and vulnerable individuals professionally and empathetically.
• Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Strong housing knowledge and compliance experience.
• Previous experience visiting tenants and vulnerable people.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles.
• Excellent communication skills and risk awareness.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel required).
