Locum Housing Litigation Solicitor
Long-term locum contract of 12 Months
£55-£60 per hour depending on experience and office attendance
Hybrid working
The Role
- Manage a full housing litigation caseload
- Handle possession proceedings, rent arrears and anti-social behaviour matters
- Conduct housing disrepair work, including defending related claims
- Defend housing-related judicial review applications
- Obtain injunctions, including utility access injunctions
- Attend court regularly and undertake advocacy
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
- Recent local authority housing litigation experience
- Strong advocacy skills with the ability to attend court
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
- Experience handling disrepair, ASB, possession and injunction matters
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established local authority legal team, working on a varied caseload with plenty of advocacy and a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
