Locum Housing Litigation Solicitor

Long-term locum contract of 12 Months

Β£55-Β£60 per hour depending on experience and office attendance

Hybrid working

The Role

  • Manage a full housing litigation caseload
  • Handle possession proceedings, rent arrears and anti-social behaviour matters
  • Conduct housing disrepair work, including defending related claims
  • Defend housing-related judicial review applications
  • Obtain injunctions, including utility access injunctions
  • Attend court regularly and undertake advocacy

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
  • Recent local authority housing litigation experience
  • Strong advocacy skills with the ability to attend court
  • Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
  • Experience handling disrepair, ASB, possession and injunction matters

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established local authority legal team, working on a varied caseload with plenty of advocacy and a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
