Whether you have come from a residential or commercial background this opportunity will have you covering Service Charge recs to client reporting and communication. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage service charge budgets and year-end accounts for residential properties.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing of service charges, working closely with property managers.
  • Reconcile service charge accounts, including variance analysis and adjustments.
  • Liaise with tenants, leaseholders, and external auditors regarding service charge queries and disputes.
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Assist in forecasting and financial planning for the wider finance team.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in client or property accounting within a facilities or property management environment.
  • Strong knowledge of property accounting principles, including service charge reconciliation, rent processing, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial management systems, such as MRI, Horizon, Qube, or similar property accounting platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Part or fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Experience managing service charge budgets and reconciliations in a commercial or residential property setting.
  • Understanding of VAT, tax, and compliance considerations in property management.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience liaising with clients, property managers, and external auditors.
