A medium sized housing provider is looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Repairs to lead its repairs, voids, disrepair, and cyclical maintenance services. You will manage around 100 staff, drive service performance, and ensure high-quality, customer-focused and compliant repairs delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day repairs operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and great customer experiences.
  • Oversee voids, cyclical maintenance, contractor management, and scheduling.
  • Drive service improvements, transformation projects, and innovation.
  • Ensure full regulatory and H&S compliance.
  • Manage budgets, KPIs, reporting, and value-for-money initiatives.
  • Provide strategic input at senior leadership level.
  • Motivate and develop managers and operational teams.

You will have

  • Senior leadership experience in property repairs, maintenance, housing, or similar.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and H&S compliance.
  • Experience managing contractors, budgets, performance, and customer-focused services.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
  • Relevant management experience or qualification, plus technical qualification or equivalent experience.

If you have

  • RICS/CIOB membership; NEBOSH/IOSH this would be an advantage but is not essential to the role.
