The role supports the delivery of building safety, compliance, and maintenance-related activity, working closely with technical staff, contractors, and internal teams to ensure homes are safe, well managed, and compliant with relevant standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of building safety, compliance, and technical programmes, ensuring effective day-to-day administrative and operational support.
  • Provide strong administrative support to technical and property teams, maintaining accurate records, databases, trackers, and documentation.
  • Assist with monitoring compliance areas such as health & safety, fire safety, gas, electrical, and asbestos, ensuring information is kept up to date.
  • Support the coordination of inspections, surveys, remedial works, and contractor activity.
  • Attend meetings with internal teams and contractors, capturing actions and supporting follow-up.
  • Develop knowledge of building safety legislation, health & safety requirements, and regulatory standards, with support and training provided.
  • Assist with raising work orders, monitoring progress, and supporting the resolution of technical and maintenance issues.
  • Support reporting on compliance and performance, ensuring accurate and timely information is available.
  • Liaise with internal teams to support resident-related queries linked to building safety and maintenance.
  • Ensure all activity is carried out in line with housing association policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.

About You

  • Experience in a technical, compliance, or administrative support role within housing, property, or a related environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • An interest in building safety, compliance, and health & safety, with a genuine desire to learn and develop technical skills.
  • A basic understanding or awareness of health & safety principles, or a willingness to build knowledge in this area.
  • Confident working with a range of stakeholders, including colleagues, contractors, and external partners.
  • A positive, proactive team player who enjoys working in a small, close-knit organisation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good ICT skills, including experience using databases, spreadsheets, and property or compliance systems.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development or a willingness to undertake training.
