The Faculty of Law is looking for a Researcher to work within the Death Penalty Research Unit (DPRU) to provide research support to the Director, Professor Hoyle and the Project Manager, Daniel Cullen. The Researcher will be reporting to the Director of the Death Penalty Research Unit and be based in the Centre for Criminology.
Responsibilities
- Support the DPRU in the day-to-day administration of research projects.
- Promote and edit the DPRU website, the Research Paper Series, the DPRU blog, and social media accounts.
- Manage their own research and administrative activities within guidelines provided by senior colleagues.
- Contribute to wider project planning, including ideas for new research projects.
Qualifications
- First degree in a social science subject.
- Working towards or hold a doctorate in criminology or a related social science.
- Possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programs.
- Experience of working in project teams on criminological research.
- Desirable: experience of working in a research team and contributing ideas for new research projects.
Details
- Part-time (0.2 FTE or 15 hours per week), fixed term post for 5 months.
- Based at the Centre for Criminology, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford.
